David Clarke Lectures UM's MBA Program on Entrepreneurship

MIAMI, FL, November 18, 2008 - David Clarke, Managing Partner of Interactive Agency BGT Partners will address University of Miami’s MBA program on the topic of Entrepreneurship as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week. Clarke will be speaking with the graduate candidates during their course Entrepreneurship: Creating New Ventures dictated by Dr. Marc Junkunc.

Clarke was selected by UM’s academic body because of his vision of betting on the internet emerging as the leading advertising and communications medium over 12 years ago. “I look forward to telling BGT’s story and the lessons we learned over the last decade with the next generation of entrepreneurs”, said Clarke. “BGT has a unique approach to managing the business, and that is the main takeaway I want students to remember. There is no magic formula for success, but if you takes some risks, make sound business decisions and add a little bit of luck, you can have a solid company.”

Global Entrepreneurship Week is endorsed by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation for entrepreneurship and its goal is to connect young people interested in entrepreneurship with their counterparts around the world. Over 26 countries are participating in the event.

In the context of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the University of Miami School of Business is hosting different activities designed to inform, mentor and engage the next generation of entrepreneurs. The week-long program includes open classes, panel discussions, round tables and luncheons.
