Miami, FL – November 10th, 2008 - David Clarke, Managing Partner at interactive marketing agency BGT Partners, contributed an article to Website Magazine where he discussed the strategies that e-tailers can implement to engage consumers while effectively spending an online budget.
In his article, Clarke asserts that as the financial crisis shifts people to more cautious spending, the Internet channel emerges as the ideal medium to capture shoppers early on. Forrester Research estimates that Internet sales will surpass $200 billion this year, up from $175 billion in 2007. “While the projections for a bigger pool of online shoppers are promising, it means nothing if marketers fail to engage this growing audience,” said Clarke.
