MIAMI, FL, November 22, 2006 - BGT Partners, a full-service interactive marketing and technology solutions agency, is stepping up its community outreach program and working with FIU on a series of lectures. David Clarke, Founder and Managing Partner of the agency, recently spoke to communications students about the business and the future of corporate communications. This series of lectures will be based on an informal venue, where students are encouraged to engage with the lecturer in the same fashion as they would in a business meeting. “The open forum with the class was a good opportunity to pass along BGT experiences to the next generation of communications professionals,” Clarke said.
Clarke spoke to the FIU students about the importance of staying ahead of the competition as well as the pros and cons of public relations (PR) versus advertising. The theme of the lecture was unlocking the benefits of corporate communications and measuring the success that PR provides to a corporate client. He stressed the significance of mastering industry-leading technologies to deliver effective solutions for clients. Clarke provided client success stories of these corporate communications methods to illustrate how they generate revenue and online awareness.
Additionally, BGT is currently participating in the FIU Internship Program working with public relations and journalism students to provide first-hand experience of the inner workings of an interactive agency. In addition to this distinction, Clarke has also recently served on the American Business Association Stevie Awards and 2006 Web Challenge Award Judging Committees.
